Why We Do This

Coach John Turner was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease nine and a half years ago. In his honor and for the millions living with this condition, we are determined to raise funds to drive change.

Research is the only path to a cure.

Cure Alzheimer’s Fund (CAF) is at the forefront, empowering scientists who are exploring the mysteries of the human brain to uncover the answers we desperately seek. You can join this vital mission to fund research that will bring an end to Alzheimer’s disease. 100% of all donations are dedicated directly to their research programs.

Consider the impact:

**7.2 million** Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s.

**Hundreds of thousands of women face the challenge of resigning from or losing their jobs due to caregiving responsibilities.

**250,000 caregivers are between the ages of 8 and 18, embodying resilience.

**15 million Americans may suffer from this disease by 2050 unless we find a cure.

**In 2025 the cost of dementia care to the US is projected to at $384 billion. In 2024, families and caregivers provided an additional $415 billion in unpaid care.

**Until 2024, 99% of drugs for Alzheimer’s disease failed in clinical trials.

**In Connecticut, there are approximately 80,000 living with Alzheimer’s disease right now and twice as many caregivers.

Together, we can make a difference and inspire hope for a brighter future.
